My Autumn Must Haves

Autumn is my favourite time of year! The cosy evenings in, hot chocolates, chunky knit wear and the start of the big build up to CHRISTMAS! Plus HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Even though this post unfortunately has nothing to do with Halloween, I wanted to share with you a couple of my Autumn’s must haves.

A good skincare routine is a big MUST for me this time of year. As the season changes, so does my skin. Its like my skin knows were getting into the colder months. My face suffers from dry skin on a regular basis anyway but gets worse during the winter months, so I’m always on the look out for a good face cream. I’ve literally just finished Clinique Moisture Surge Gel cream which I loved! It is on the pricey side and personally I wanted to find something a bit cheaper, so sticking with my favourite brand Garnier, Ultra Lift day cream is a new buy for me and ‘fingers crossed’ its just as good.

My hands and nails also suffer with dryness at this time of year, plus I get really bad chilblains on my fingers, so I’m never without hand cream during winter. I’ve recently been reaching for the Zoella Beauty Wonder hand cream at the moment which is really moisturizing for a long period of time and it comes in a massive tube which is going to last me a lifetime .

Sticking with skincare, face masks are my favourite. I mean, who doesn’t love a face mask!! They make your skin feel soft, smooth and a perfect way to relax. A couple of my favourites are, Superdrug face masks. They do so many different types, exfoliating, de stress, plus loads of different flavours like chocolate orange and white chocolate. A new favourite is from The Body Shop. I went for the Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing mask but they have so many to choose from in their new range and I know they have been amazing sellers. I’ve seen them everywhere!! Lastly is the NU Skin Epoch Glacial Marine Mud Mask which I’m obsessed with. I love mud masks and this product actually draws out the dirt and impurities from your skin.

IMG_7853Autumnal lipstick is probably one of my favourite things about Autumn. As much as I love the nude and pink lipstick, there’s just something about the berry tones and bold red lipstick! They are probably the one thing I get really excited about. I have so many and always adding to my collection but I just waned to share with you my favourite 3 that I’m reaching for at the moment. Rimmel Kate Moss 107 is one I’ve had for a while now which I think is actually discontinued so I’m heart broken! It will forever be one of the BEST red lipsticks! Barry M Matte 177 has more of a purple berry tone to it which again I’ve had for a while but always reaching for it. Lastly is Guerlain Red Hot 328 which is more of a moisturizing lipstick but still really good for staying on and I love the colour.

Candles and a good book, you cant beat it!! Apart from lipstick, my next obsession is candles! Especially Christmas smelling candles. They just make the house so comforting and cosy now the darker evenings have started. Once the candles are lit, reading is my new favourite, especially in winter. Reading is a way for me to wind down and relax and I’ve literally just finished Vicky Pattison book, My Sisters Wedding. What a great read it is and I’d 100% recommended it. I wont go into detail because I don’t want to spoil it but you must have a read. Its up there with one of my favourite books to read.

What do you love about Autumn? I’d love to know your thoughts.
